A couple of pics of the old track and the new construction. The old track was 5' x 11'. The new one is extended to 13'. The old one was approximately 44'. The new one is 46 1/2'. Click on the pics to enlarge.

New design. This eliminates the 90 degree turns. It adds some esses to the right side and an decreasing radius turn on the left. As well it increases the length of three straights while only reducing the front straight by one section but with the addition of the kink and the added length.
